36. General authorisations and rights of use for radio frequency and block numbers

Fixed line and mobile operations 

Telekom Slovenije has general authorisation to provide an electronic communications network and electronic communication services. Prior to the commencement of the provision of public communication networks or services, notification must be given in writing to the Agency for Post and Electronic Communications (hereinafter: the Agency). An undertaking is not required to obtain an explicit decision or any other administrative act by the national regulatory authority before exercising the rights stemming from the authorisation.

In the past, Telekom Slovenije has issued notifications for the provision of the following electronic communication services:

  • public voice services in the fixed public telecommunications network,
  • voice services in the public mobile network,
  • international telecommunications services,
  • data transmission services, and 
  • domestic and international leased line services.

Pursuant to notification, the Group must pay an annual fee in the amount of EUR 992 thousand (2011: EUR 992 thousand). The amount of the fee to be paid is defined by a tariff in a general act of the Agency.

Pursuant to legal requirements, Group companies paid following annual fees:

  • fee on revenue from public telecommunications network,
  • fee for the use of radio frequencies, and
  • fee for allocated block of numbers,

In 2012, the Group paid EUR 5,156 thousand (2011: EUR 3,720 thousand) in fees.
